The 12th Meeting of the INTERPOL Match-Fixing Task Force (IMFTF) hosted by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of the Interior from May 10-12, attracted participants from over 50 countries, united in the global fight against sports competition manipulation.
The growing problem of sports manipulation is linked to fraud and corruption. Complex and often transnational, the fight against it requires a united effort from members of the sports, law enforcement and lotteries and sports betting communities, to continue to maintain sports integrity.
01 February 2022. The Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have signed a cooperation agreement for the fight against the manipulation of sports competitions through effective information sharing and coordinated education activities.
We are pleased to announce that the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) will receive increased support from the global lottery community in 2022. After the departure of the GLMS General Secretary this past June, the WLA, together with the European Lotteries (EL) and GLMS, began exploring ways to optimize synergies in order to provide GLMS members with the best service possible.
