PHOENIX, AZ, August 16, 2023 – The unaudited numbers are in and the Arizona Lottery is proud to announce our biggest win ever for the State of Arizona: over $1.5 billion in combined sales from instant-win and draw games, resulting in $300 million in transfers to vital state agencies and services in FY2023!

  • $23.9 million to Healthy Arizona, through the Arizona Department of Health Services, to provide vital assistance to low-income Arizona families so they can eat well and remain healthy.
  • $3.5 million to the Arizona Competes Fund, through the Arizona Commerce Authority, to foster economic growth across the state, and to attract new business while helping current companies to thrive here.
  • $1 million to the Arizona Department of Economic Security, with a significant portion (about 1/3) going to the Central Arizona Shelter System (CASS) to combat homelessness.

“The Arizona Lottery, and our entire network of valued retailers, are proud to help provide the resources needed to fund so many services that make our state a great place to live, work and play,” Arizona Lottery Executive Alec Esteban Thomson said. “Arizona Lottery ticket sales are directly responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars every year to fund programs benefiting our most at-risk citizens, protecting our iconic wildlife and landscapes, providing a world-class college education to generations of Arizonans, and helping to grow our economy.”

Additionally, Lottery sales generated more than $103 million in retailer commissions across the state and paid out close to $1.03 billion in prizes, helping to fund critical state services, drive our economy and bolster retailer revenues.

The complete lineup of instant and draw games is available at over 3,200 Arizona Lottery licensed retailers. Learn more about the Arizona Lottery at
