GLMS / EL / WLA Sports Integrity Webinar
Solidarity, Community and Alliance:
Embodying a New Culture of Sports Integrity
An EL, GLMS, and WLA collaborative webinar on sports integrity.
A global event online!
Following one of the largest health crises the world has seen in decades, the WLA in collaboration with the EL and the GLMS will be organizing a joint sports integrity webinar.
The webinar will address the new normal to which the lottery sector, the sports movement, the sports betting sector, and public stakeholders will have to adapt after a crisis that saw the sport ecosystem grind to a halt.
During the pandemic, GLMS, EL, and WLA sports betting operators have been proposing bet opportunities on novelty competitions. This has triggered several specific types of investigations, increased vigilant monitoring, and has further highlighted the need for closer cooperation with the law enforcement and sports sectors.
Webinar panels and presentations will include information on monitoring activities and trends over the last three months and how lotteries from East to West and other stakeholders have been dealing with the unprecedented situation.
The sessions will also present prominent industry leaders who will share their thoughts on how the sports movement, law enforcement agencies, and lotteries have been working together effectively on investigations and awareness-raising activities facilitated by the GLMS.
The webinar will examine the meaning of recovery and post-pandemic business strategies from the viewpoint of the lottery and sports betting sectors. It will also provide an update on the fast-growing sports betting market in the US.
Following a 3- to 4-hour format each day, the webinar will start at GMT+2/CET 13:00 on Tuesday, 23 June and Wednesday 24 June, and at GMT+2/CET 14:30 on Thursday 25 June. The time schedule has been set to accommodate participants from around the globe. We look forward to your participation!
