Sports Integrity Conference in Geneva sees lottery and sport stakeholders convene to preserve the integrity of sports
Major stakeholders in the fight against match fixing and the preservation of sports integrity convened in Geneva on December 7, 2016 for the Sports Integrity Conference. The conference, which was part of the two-day International Sports Convention 2016 (ISC), was supported and organized by the European Lotteries (EL) and the World Lottery Association (WLA). More that 20 international speakers from the International Olympic Committee and UEFA through to the European Commission, the Council of Europe, and the academic community came together to discuss the integrity of sports, its integral relationship with the lottery industry, and the ongoing fight against match-fixing.
The WLA is pleased to announce that WLS 2016 came to a most successful conclusion on November 10, 2016. Ten years after its last convention in Singapore, this city once again played host to the most important event for the global lottery community.

Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Switzerland's Loterie Romande, was re-elected unanimously on Wednesday November 9, 2016 as President of the World Lottery Association (WLA). First elected to the post in 2012, Mr. Moner-Banet will head the WLA for a third two-year term of office.
