Lausanne, 11 October 2018: The Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) and Victoria Police have decided to join forces and share information regarding irregular betting patterns in order to detect and prevent sports betting manipulations in Australian sport. GLMS will be providing Victoria Police with information on irregular betting patterns or insider betting that is taking place in connection with sport competitions throughout Australia.
Cleveland, 27 September 2018, GLMS President, Ludovico Calvi, attended from 25-27 September 2018 the Conference of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) in Cleveland, US. Ludovico joined a high level discussion on Sports Betting post PASPA repeal.
On October 11, in Buenos Aires, the President of ALEA and the Buenos Aires Province Lottery, Mr. Matías Lanusse, presided over the meeting of the ALEA Board of Directors, which included the special participation of officials from the World Lottery Association (WLA) and CIBELAE, and the presence of representatives from 17 jurisdictions.
Lausanne, 30 August 2018, The Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) and the Gambling Commission of Great Britain (the Commission) share a commitment to protect the integrity of sports and sports betting. This agreement formalises the informal partnership that has been in place for some time. Under the agreement, GLMS and the Commission will exchange information on suspicious betting to help safeguard the interests of British consumers.
