The Digital Insights paper is the first in a two-part series designed for regulated lotteries and discusses the importance of investing in UX design to ensure a digital lottery product attracts and retains players.

Touching on topics such as visual elements, intuitive navigation, personalisation, accessibility and the on-boarding and registration process, the paper also offers practical examples of successful UX designs.

With an ever-increasing number of mobile users, it has never been more important for lottery operators to offer customers a frictionless mobile experience to increase trust and loyalty in their brands.

Tom Atfield, Creative Director at mkodo, said: “Lottery players today expect their lotteries to have a digital presence of some kind and ensuring products are fully designed with the user in mind from the onset is crucial.

“Creating a flawless UX provides users with a positive experience which helps foster a long-term relationship between players and the lottery and with this paper we want to offer operators an understanding of how to best achieve this.”

The second part of the series will be released March and will focus on designing a seamless player experience across the two worlds of digital and retail lottery interaction.
