With the theme of “Lead by Responsibility to Create Social Value”, Mr. Zhang Chi, Director of China Sports Lottery Administration Centre, emphasized in the announcement that China Sports Lottery maintains responsibility as a core value while raising funds for public welfare and places Responsible Gaming as an executional focus of their operation.
Since 2017, China Sports Lottery has continued to make outstanding progress in many aspects of their operation. In order to further strengthen the execution their responsible gaming policy, China Sports Lottery Administration Centre established a dedicated Responsible Gaming Department in 2019, and gradually setup related operations at different Provincial Centres across China. China Sports Lottery actively built a scientific and efficient Responsible Gaming governance model to support continuous improvement, which stives to strengthen RG awareness, provides bi-directional communications with key stakeholders, promotes the concept of “Rational Gaming” to the public. It also launched a treatment and referral pilot program for people with gambling problems. China Sports Lottery executed further awareness strengthening initiatives, including regular risk assessments utilizing GamGard, shorter retail outlet business opening hours, and approval requirements for bets that exceed a certain amount.
Mr. Xu Ming, Deputy Secretary of China Sports Lottery Administration Centre, stated in response to reporters’ questions: In the next five years, China Sports Lottery will work to further improve its RG management in the areas of, employee awareness programs, research, assessment, communication, and rating model development. China Sports Lottery will continue focusing on promoting the concept of “Rational Gaming”, expanding its social media influence, and strive for the continuous improvement of its responsible gaming policies China Sports Lottery.
