Key facts and figures
Our team and platform generated a number of alerts, explaining the odds movements so that members and partners can better evaluate the trends and activities before taking action. We also provided in-depth education tours and workshops on our platform and related operational activities to our members as well as valued partners and country beneficiaries of our partner projects.
In the report, you will find key facts and figures from GLMS' monitoring and intelligence work over the first six months of 2021 in service of its members. In the report, we break down the 680 alerts and notifications for 10 sports, that were generated by our platform, 56 of which we sent out to members and partners following our in-depth analysis, justifying suspicious odds movements where appropriate and delivering integrity reports where needed. More than half of the 680 were classified as simple green notifications, more useful for tracking trends.
Our first adhoc working group for a major tournament
We also conducted our very first internal adhoc working group for our lottery members on monitoring and analysing the integrity of the UEFA Men’s European Football championship and worked simultaneously with UEFA in a multistakeholder working group during the tournament, involving the Council of Europe, national platforms and other betting stakeholders.
The report also includes our main highlights from the last few months, namely policy work as an observer to the International Macolin Convention and contribution to UNODC's work, the successful close of Integrisport and the launch of its followup project for law enforcement and judiciary, digital educational events worldwide on sport integrity and sports law, etc.
One of our associate supplier members, Scientific Games, also gave us an update on their exciting 2021 so far addressing COVID-19 and working with and for the lotteries. Also find a showcase of our other valued associate supplier members, Intralot, IGT and Sporting Solutions.
Finally, we have great interviews in store for you, from our Uruguayan member, La Banca's Sports betting manager and newly reappointed GLMS Executive Committee member, Fabiàn Garcia, as well as an interview with our regular partner, the International Olympic Committee Olympic Movement Unit, prior to the Tokyo Games.
Wishing you a great read, and a fantastic summer!
