The WLA has been doing its part in the fight to keep sports fair, honest, and transparent. Despite the efforts of sports organizations to promote good governance, the world of sports continues to experience problems with corruption.

At the most recent meeting of the WLA Executive Committee, held via teleconferencing on Thursday, June 24, 2021, the WLA provisionally accepted three new Regular Members and accepted three new Associate Members.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Yvonne Schnyder, former General Secretary of the WLA. She died on May 6, 2021 at the age of 78 at her home in Bottmingen, Switzerland. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Werner Schnyder, who passed away in September 2020.
