Oct 2021 Gift Responsibly Campaign The National Council on Problem Gambling in Washington, D.C. and the International Centre for Youth Gambling Problems and High-Risk Behaviors at McGill University invite lotteries to participate in our annual campaign that encourages adults not to give children lottery tickets as gifts. For the last several years, 100% of American and Canadian lotteries have participated in this dynamic Campaign with a growing number of international lotteries joining as well. We look forward to welcoming new World Lottery Association members to the Campaign!

The Gleason Award honors gambling industry executives for commitment to and leadership of responsible gambling actions in their business and with their industry.

GLMS has had a busy first six months of 2021, from education to policy-making, engaging with our members and monitoring to maintain sport integrity. We are delighted to share several activities in which our Individual lottery members as well as our associate and regulating members and GLMS have participated, enhancing the quality of sports betting and especially facilitating the prevention, detection and monitoring of sports integrity.

Jul 2021 MUSL Board President and Powerball Product Group Officers re-elected for FY2022 JOHNSTON, Iowa, July 1, 2021 – The Board of Directors of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) re-elected Sarah M. Taylor, executive director of the Hoosier Lottery, to lead as Board President for Fiscal Year 2022. Taylor has served as MUSL Board President since July 2020 and prior to that role served as Board Vice President.

7. May 2021 In memoriam: Yvonne Schnyder It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Yvonne Schnyder, former General Secretary of the WLA. She died on May 6, 2021 at the age of 78 at her home in Bottmingen, Switzerland. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Werner Schnyder, who passed away in September 2020.
