It has been a momentous year for the global lottery community. We turned the page on the pandemic with the resumption of physical meetings which stretched from May to December and were held in Europe, Latin America, Asia, North America and Africa. With high turn outs, experts gathered to discuss and present on important topics such as market trends, illegal betting, sports data management, Corporate Social Responsibility and innovation in a post-COVID world.

With just a week to go until the World Lottery Summit in Vancouver, we’re looking forward to see you all there and pleased to announce that the WLS 2022 app is available to download at Google Play and the Apple app store.

The WLA and EL Sports Betting Seminar took place on May 16, in Seville, Spain, with over 120 participants.

The WLA and EL brought together 370 participants to celebrate 20 years of their annual iconic marketing event, normally held in London and seen as the opening of the new lottery year. For the second year in a row, the event took place online and was moderated by EL Secretary General, Arjan van’t Veer and WLA Executive Director, Luca Esposito.
