Security & Integrity Seminar
A Joint EL/WLA Seminar
An Umbrella for Success: Organizational Resilience!
Security and Integrity are organizatonal strategic objectves which are in a constant state of flux. The only effectve response to changing threats is constant vigilance and rapid reacton. The recent WannaCry outbreak demonstrated how difficult this task can be.
Hosted by Norsk Tipping - Celebrating 20 years being WLA SCS Certified!
Organizational Resilience
A perspectve that can help to build beter preparaton and response is organizatonal resilience. “Organizatonal resilience is the ability of an organi- zaton to antcipate, prepare for, respond and adapt to incremental change and sudden disrupton in order to survive and prosper” (BSI/BS65000/ISO22316). It involves a full new mindset, involving mindful acton, preventatve control, performance optmizaton, adaptve innovaton and paradoxical thinking, to balance flexibility and consistency on one axis with defensive and progres- sive approaches on the other axis. Organizatonal resilience can provide a common ground for understanding for all involved ranging from top level management to CIOs, CISOs, TISOs, audit, etc. helping to set the targets and balance resources. The 2017 joint EL/WLA Security and Integrity Seminar will address how organizatonal resilience fits to everyday preventon and protecton needs.
The seminar will keep its focus on operatonal and informaton security, working out the new recently approved WLA SCS standard, getng into the various changes that it brings, as well as with fresh recent certficaton experience and benefits. A special track on cybersecurity has been planned touching hard facts and fore-running technology – ranging from database protecton to blockchain applicatons, going through thread detecton and correlaton as well as intelligence sharing – learning from the best experts on this subject topic!
Very special will be some presentatons on advanced operatonal practces, such as advances in tcket security, and, to round out, on integrity and ethics. Besides, advances in AML and privacy protecton practces will be shared, as well as informaton about how a standard is born.
To help improve management practces and increase professionalism, some management techniques will be reviewed: change management, organizatonal skills as well as process needs.
