| Ohio Lottery selects INTRALOT – 6th contract in the U.S. for INTRALOT INTRALOT’s subsidiary, INTRALOT Inc, was selected by the Ohio Lottery as the apparent successful vendor to operate the agency’s gaming system services. The project will be launched on July 1st 2009 after a one-year conversion contract that will begin on July 1st, 2008. After the conversion the contract will have an initial term of two years with up to four, two-year renewals (The Lottery’s budget is only approved every two years by the state and therefore contracts cannot exceed two years). | |

| WLA best practice marketing/communications guidelines The WLA executive committee has now established and formally approved a marketing and communications guideline, which may be implemented as a globally recognized standard. Key elements from similar guidelines already in use by 11 major lotteries were instrumental in the development of this document. Prior to approval, the draft guidelines were also circulated to a number of WLA members. Marketing and communications specialist from these member lotteries formed a working group, which provided additional feedback. The resulting document is the culmination of their effort. New deadlines will be announced as soon as they are established. Other areas of the Framework are also being reviewed and any changes will be communicated when finalized. | |

| WLA cooperation with Early Warning System GmbH In 2005 the WLA and FIFA formally agreed to work together to protect and maintain the integrity of football and to safeguard the WLA members' betting systems and products. Beginning in july 2007, Early Warning System GmbH has worked on an operating a system based on experiences gained during the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Implementation of the WLA/FIFA agreement has now been realized. The Early Warning System has been in place since the qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup 2010 began this past August. | |

| Upgrade your SCS-Certification! With the issuing of the WLA-SCS:2006 on November 16, 2006, all preceding standards have been replaced. In order to ensure a smooth and consistent transfer of certification, the Security and Risk Management Committee has seen it necessary to release a Transition Statement. This statement shall serve to clarify with the lottery sector and the certification bodies what steps must in order to fulfill the transition requirements. Welcome to the new WLA website As already announced, we have developed a new section exclusively for our members. In order to access the member section, all members will initially be required to register. This will be an easy one-time process. To register you will need to click on the registration link, which is located above in the login box. From there you will be taken to the registration page. Fill this out completely and press “Send Registration”.
Shortly thereafter you will receive a confirmation e-mail in which you will be asked to verify your e-mail address by clicking the hyperlink provided. After that, your registration will be checked against our database and then approved. You will receive a second e-mail informing you, that your account is now activated. You may now enter the member section.
If you do not receive the first confirmation mail within a few minutes, please check your spam settings.
Please note, for security reasons we can not accept registration with gmail, yahoo, hotmail or any other e-mail address which does not contain the domain name of one of our members or associate members.
We hope with this new website better to serve our members and that it will act as a link for the entire global lottery community.
