Image GTECH Printing Corporation (GPC) announced today that its new state-of-the-art instant game printing facility in Lakeland, Florida, is officially open for business. Production of live games began today, meeting GPC's original production schedules.

The 100,000 sq. ft. facility will house all GPC personnel and was completed ahead of schedule and in less than one year. The opening of this facility culminates a strong, two-year partnership with Gallus, the world's leading press supplier to the worldwide printing industry.

"The press sets new standards in our industry for quality, throughput, and security," said Ross Dalton, Senior Vice President of GTECH's Printed Products and Licensed Content group. "We are beyond excited to introduce the largest, fastest, highest quality press in the history of the industry."

GPC's press is capable of printing 48,000 tickets per minute and has an annual production capacity of more than 11 billion tickets. The facility also includes state-of-the-art security, quality and environmentalsystems and controls.
